Scope of evaluation
CAVA evaluates observable characteristics of AI-generated outputs under defined interaction conditions. CAVA does not evaluate, and makes no claims about, the internal architecture, training data, reinforcement-learning systems, causal alignment mechanisms, or intent of any AI model. Observed behavioral patterns should be interpreted descriptively and do not constitute claims about model cognition or design.
No guarantee of AI safety or fitness for deployment
A CAVA conformance evaluation reflects performance on the specific prompt library, conditions, and models evaluated at a specific point in time. AI systems change. A passing evaluation does not guarantee that an AI system will perform identically in all future interactions, with all users, or under all conditions. Organizations remain responsible for their own deployment decisions.
Research papers
The research papers linked from this site (Walcher 2026a and 2026b) present methodology and registered protocols. They do not constitute peer-reviewed empirical findings on the safety or quality of any specific AI product. Results from the Reference Implementation study are forthcoming.
